Imagine you receive a knock on the door. Behind it, Nwankwo Kanu – holding the Premier League Trophy.
The Premier League may be played in England, but some of its most passionate fans live in Africa – around 290 million (representing nearly 20% of the league’s global audience).
As official beer partner, Guinness set out to reimagine the traditional trophy tour – transforming it from staged publicity into a genuine celebration of fandom.
Instead of bringing fans to the trophy, we brought the trophy directly to them. Four devoted Kenyan supporters, along with members of their fan communities, were surprised when Kanu – one of the greatest African football players of all time – arrived carrying football’s most iconic prize.
Their homes became the most exclusive football venues in the country.
